What this application does

This is a personal, non-commercial application that connects to HSBC UK via Enable Banking to retrieve account balances and transaction data for the sole purpose of personal financial analysis and reporting.

Who operates this application

This application is operated by a single private individual for their own personal use. It is not a commercial product, does not serve other users, and is not publicly available.

Data collected

The application accesses the following data from HSBC UK, with the account holder’s explicit consent via Open Banking:

No data beyond what is provided by the bank through the Enable Banking API is collected.

How data is used

All data is used exclusively for personal financial tracking, analysis, and reporting. Data is not used for any commercial, advertising, or third-party purpose.

Where data is stored

All retrieved data is stored locally on the account holder’s personal device in an encrypted-at-rest SQLite database. No data is stored on external servers, cloud services, or third-party platforms beyond Enable Banking’s pass-through processing (Enable Banking does not cache or store account data).

Data sharing

No data is shared with any third party. The application has a single user who is also the account holder.

Data retention

Data is retained locally for as long as the account holder chooses. The account holder can delete all stored data at any time by removing the local database file.

As the sole user and account holder, you retain full control over your data. You can revoke Open Banking consent at any time through:
